Holiday Time

Hello everybody,

we are packing our bags and leaving for the South! :)
While Katja chills in Sardinia I'll be heading to Ischia in the Bay of Naples. Our blog will be on vacation too, we'll be back with a lot of beautiful pictures from Bella Italia and travel tips at the end of July. Until then you can follow along on Instagram.

Garden Jungle

Hello everybody,

last month I helped myself to a beautiful new one-piece bathing suite (covered with black and white jungle motives) by Viennese designer lila. I am a big fan of her designs as she often works with belts and ribbons which make it possible to wear her clothes in different ways and I like that her things are often very sweet but cool at the same time.
Anyways, as I didn't want to wear my new favourite bathing suite just poolside I decided to incorporate it into a usual summer outfit as well... :)

Bol, Island of Brac: The Caribbean of the Mediterranean Sea

Hey folks,

I spent a wonderful week in Bol, a picturesquely little port town on the Croatian island Brac.
Unfortunately I forgot my camera at home, so please don't blame me for the small iPhone pictures ;)

I would describe Brac as the Carribbean of the Mediterranean Sea. The water is turquoise blue and crystal clear.

 

Bol was build in 1475 and is renowned for its most popular beach, the Zlatni Rat ("Golden cape"). We spent most of our evenings in the lovely harbour and had some amazing food.

I can recommend the following restaurants:

• Pumparela: best cevapcici in town and amazing seafood
• Pizzeria Topolino: they also serve great Croatian dishes and yummy seafood. Plus: there is a great musician playing live music every night. I couldn't decide what I liked more: him or the food ;)
• Varadero Cocktail bar: a great place with chillout music for your after-dinner cocktail ;)
  

My favourite dish was definitely grilled octopus with mangold-potatoe-mash (a Croatian speciality). OH SO YUMMY :))

In Bol I tried out stand-up-paddling for the very first time - and I instantly felt in love with this relaxing water-sport! You should try it out aswell. It isn't hard at all, but it still trains most of your core muscles.

There are also many windsurfing- and kitesurfing-schools in Bol. I borrowed my stand-up-paddleboard from "Johnny's" surfschool - super nice and cool dudes over there :)

On our last evening we walked along the coast and found this lovely zen-stone-sculpture.

I can really recommend the Island of Brac for a relaxing, chill-out holiday. It is also perfectly suited for families and elderly people :)

Beach Desire

Hi folks,

two weeks ago David and I booked our summer trip to Ischia, Italy and although it's still 2 1/2 months to go I am already so much looking forward to visiting this beautiful island in the Bay of Naples. Usually I'm that kind of person who is all about sightseeing and checking out every monument and little nice cafés and stores but this year I'm especially craving for the beach and of course the sea.    
For a veritable holiday at the seaside a girl (of course) needs a bathing suit and as I've had all of mine quite for a few years now I decided that I will help myself to a new one this year. I haven't decided yet but I think I wanna go with a one-piece this time as I haven't worn one for years and I already have a number of bikinis. So yesterday I browsed the internet for cute bathings suits and as I thought that some of you might also be searching for a new one I decided to share some of my findings... :)
