on Monday, after a lovely breakfast date, David and I decided to celebrate the beautiful, sunny November weather. We chose to go for a little walk in the park right around the corner and were surprised to find the whole park covered in yellow autumn leaves! Extremely beautiful! We simply had to take the chance to snap a few photos... ;)

Easy Autumn DIY Gift Wrapper
Hello everybody,
about two weeks ago a very good friend of mine had her 28th birthday. On Monday we finally met, so I could give her her birthday present. Of course the present needed to be wrapped too and I LOVE gift wrapping! I think it's always great fun to come up with a creative idea to wrap up a present instead of simply wrapping it in bought wrapping paper. This time I decided for an autumnal gift wrapper, fitting to the current season. It's really easy to make and won't take you more than 5 minutes.

Beetroot Soup for Autumn Days
Hello everybody,
I am back! :) Last week I've been totally occupied with the intensive week at my new university. It was really great but unfortunately my time to blog was severely limited (not to say non-existent).
However, I spent my whole Sunday with cooking and crafting, so I will be back to my normal blogging routine shortly... ;)
Today I want to share a recipe for a really good and nourishing beetroot soup. I love the red beets and think they are the perfect vegetable for cold autumn and winter days.

Wishlist: Go Green Into Fall
Hello everybody,
as summer is almost over I thought it was time to take a (online) look at the current fall fashion. :) For me this year it's going to be a special autumn as I will go back to university to start a new master program in "Environmental and Sustainability Management". I'm already really looking forward to it! Fitting to the study program I decided to challenge myself a bit for this wishlist and only checked out online stores that offered environmentally friendly or "ethical" clothing. I put together two outfits - one a little bit more girly and the other one a little bit more sporty and I'm actually pretty pleased with the results... :)

Since three years I am celebreting Halloween every year with a couple of friends in the club house of my village. Today I would like to share two costume ideas and some Halloween decoration impressions with you.
Last year I went as Poison Ivy from Batman. For this costume you'll need:
- long red wig
- green tights and a green long-sleeved top
- fake ivy leaves (green and red)
- wide belt (glue two ivy leaves on it)
- green plastic gloves (paint red fingernails on them)
- funky fake lashes (and here you find an awesome poison ivy make-up tutorial)
- optional: I was waring a dress with a green pattern on it over my top
Two years ago there was a big hype about the Black Swan costume. Here's my version of it :) For this costume you will need:
- black corsage
- black tutu or wide mini-skirt
- black feathers (glue them on the tutu/skirt)
- (fake) diadem
- opional: red contace lenses
- and here's a great "Black Swan" make-up tutorial by Michelle Phan.
My favourite Halloween decorations are - of course - Jack-O'Lanterns, graveyard lights, fake spider webs and creepy black&white pictures of people from the 19th century ;-)
I hope you get some inspiration for a cool Halloween-decor with my pics.
Sick pumpkin ;)
Creepy family tree: I have just printed out old pictures from the 19th century that I found in goggle pictures.
Funny ideay for the dance floor: crime scene! I just used white gaffa tape for it.
Graveyard Halloween cake!!
I made an electric chair out of an old commode, some pieces of wire, two old leather belts and gaffa tape. I used a broom, a salad bowle and the framework of an old lamp for the "head-part" of the chair. People made some veeery funny pictures with that electric chair on the party! ;-)
Happy Halloween everybody and don't forget: EAT. DRINK. AND BE SCARY!

Golden autumn days
Hey folks,
this weekend the autumn foliage was just insane! I did a little walking tour with my mum to learn more about herbs (she is a good witch you have to know ;-)). She makes incredible teas and other goodies with wild herbs or herbs out of her garden. Check out her newest blog-entry about a selfmade herbs-oil (in German) -> http://nancy7sieben.blogspot.co.at/
I'm about to dry the herbs we found now and soon you'll find here a post about herbal goodnesses ;)
On our tour we found a man-made shelter that (probably kids?) must have built in summer. And i picked some crazy dried thistle-flowers that will make an awesome halloween decoration.

Rock your leggings
Hi there,
yesterday both of us came - without prior agreement - in our most stylish "rock" leggings to work. Even our shoes had nearly the same colour, so we were kind of dressed like twins :-)
We really liked this little coincidence and we couldn't resist to take some photos of it and share them with you.

Autumn sun
Yesterday we had like the most beautiful autumn day in Vienna! Therefore my bf and I decided to drive out to the "Steinhofgründe", a beautiful recreational area on the outskirts of the city. Originally the Steinhofgründe had been part of a hospital. In the late 1970s the area should have become a building ground but a referendum showed that the majority of the Viennese were against it. Therefore municipality took over the Steinhofgründe and has maintained it since then. Nowadays the Viennese use the area for walks, picnics, to fly a kite in the autumn and to sled in winter.

Yummy! Salmon Filet with pumpkin puree
Hey folks,
last weekend I was really in the mood for pumpkin and fish so I simply decided to bring the two together and make salmon filets with pumpkin puree. That's extremely tasty, super easy, fast and even looks kind of fancy... ;) Yum yum!
What you'll need (for 2 persons):
- 1 hokkaido pumpkin
- 3-4 tomatoes
- dill
- 2 salmon filets
- salt
- pepper
- soy sauce
- salad and dressing (if you want)
How it works:
Cut the pumpkin, the tomatoes and the dill into little pieces.
Put everything into a pot and let it boil until the pumpkin is soft. Add salt, pepper and soysauce to taste.
In the meantime you can salt and pepper your salmon filets.
When the pumpkin is done put the salmon into a pan with hot olive oil and fry it until it starts getting brown on every side.
Use an immersion blender to mash your pumpkin-tomatoe mixture. Personally I like it when there are still some pumpkin pieces left in the puree but that's of course a matter of personal taste.
Done! :)
If you want to add some green to your dish, a salad (preferably with some crunchy sesame salt) will fit perfectly.
Enjoy!

Colourful fall!
Hey folks,
I really like fall! Not only because there's my birthday in September. ;) I love the warm light on sunny fall days, the colourful leaves on the trees and Sunday movie afternoons, when the weather is cold and grey outside. And I do love autumn clothes! Coats, scarves, hats, boots...you name it!
